Okay it is not even 7 am, and a neighbor is outside shooting hoops! At least it is not as cold as yesterday morning. I checked, and it’s 52°. I’m trying to figure out why someone would be shooting hoops near the crack of dawn. The only thing I can think of is that he is stressed and needs to work out his tension. Not a bad way to do it, I might add. I confess to being a little stressed to this morning, as in a few hours I will lead one of those workshops I told you about. I just can’t get my mind around how big a deal it is. When the idea of it was first birthed, the vision was to bring a tool to pastors who desperately need it during these stressful times. But as usual, God’s purposes are much bigger than our own. Over the course of the four days of the workshops, not only are pastors from all over the country participating, but staff teams from more than half of the regional conferences, and denominational level staff teams are also doing the workshop. Oh and teams from Mexico are attending as well! It is truly mind blowing. That is why it is so awesome to work with God. It is so humbling to have Him work through us to accomplish His purposes. Yes, I am stressed about today, but much more so, I am excited! My challenge for you, friend, is to be on the lookout for ways that God can use you to make a difference. No excuses, no limitations, simply say “yes” and then see what He can do,

Lord, help me to be ready to say “yes” to anything that You ask of me. Thank You for being willing to use me in such a way that I have a tiny role in accomplishing Your purpose. May I honor You in all that I say and do today. Amen.

Ephesians 3:16-21

 I pray that out of his glorious riches, he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever!
