The Pastor's Porch

I woke up this morning with a sense of excitement about life.  That's a good feeling to have in the midst of everything, don't you think?  Though the pandemic is a horrific thing, I see God bubbling up new ways of looking at doing church, both locally and nationally.  We are "re-imagining" ministries, worship, vitality, gathering together...so many things.  Who would have thought 7 months ago that we would have been considering drive-in worship, outside worship, mobile worship, using Zoom to see one another.  I love trying out new things!  I think that I will spend today firmly out of the box, dreaming up something crazy to try.  How about you?  Why not re-imagine something in your life?  God is incredibly creative and would love to work with you.  Have fun!  Lord Jesus, help us see, even in the midst of this tough time, that You are ready to help us innovate and to "do life" in new ways.  Give us Your creativity and joy this day, and let us bring a smile to You.  In Your name I pray.  Amen.

Isaiah 43:18-19:  “Forget the former things;
    do not dwell on the past.
19 See, I am doing a new thing!
    Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
    and streams in the wasteland.
